Because of Putin’s war on Ukraine, my visa application to live in the UK with my soon-to-be husband has been thrown to the back burner. They’re saving people, so I get it. I WANT them to help save lives. It’s just a blow to have my life put on pause for an unforeseen amount of time. Because there’s nothing I can do about it, I know I have to just shake it off. Easier said than done. I’m trying.
